Okay. I need a minute. (☆´∀`☆)
I opened GitHub tonight expecting the usual quiet dashboard — a few notifications, a Dependabot ping, maybe a PR I forgot about. Instead I stared at the star count on frutiger-js and felt my brain blue-screen in the softest possible way:
10 stars.
Ten people (or ten mysterious netizens of the information superhighway) clicked that little star on a tiny CSS framework I built so websites could look like glossy Frutiger Aero again — glass gradients, sky blues, soft greens, that late-2000s “everything is a bubble of optimism” vibe. And I… didn’t even notice. ( ̄□ ̄;)
The Project I Almost Forgot I Shipped (ー_ー〃)
Frutiger-JS is a custom CSS framework for Frutiger Aero nostalgia. Not a React megasystem. Not a DAG state engine. Just vibes you can @import — the kind of aesthetic that lived on Vista wallpapers, early Aero glass UIs, and those dreamy nature-tech stock photos of grass and sky and translucent buttons.
I threw it together because I missed that look. Then work got loud. HomuraJS, Moon-Inferno, Yumia-MD, KawaiJS ate my attention. Frutiger-JS sat quietly in the repo list like a forgotten desktop widget… while strangers on the internet were apparently still finding it.

Why This Hit Different (◕‿◕✿)
Ten stars isn’t viral. It won’t trend on Hacker News. But for a small personal CSS kit about a niche nostalgia aesthetic? Ten stars feels huge. Each one is a human who saw the repo, thought “yeah, I want that glow,” and left a little signal.
I spend so much energy worrying whether my open-source work matters that I literally missed the moment when one of my quieter projects crossed a tiny milestone. Classic webmaster behavior. (m__m)
Thank You (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
If you starred frutiger-js — thank you. Truly. You made a tired developer smile on a random October night.
If you haven’t seen it yet and you love Frutiger Aero / Y2K / glossy 2007 desktop energy:

Star it, fork it, break it, restyle your personal homepage until it looks like a Vista dreamscape. I’ll try to actually watch the notifications next time.
Until the next surprise star count…
